Why Your Toughest Opponent Might Be You: A 4-Age Cosmic Explanation

If we go by the ancient texts of the East, four Yugas (timespans or ages) are mentioned:

In 'Satya Yuga' (the Age of Truth or Righteousness), good and evil lived far apart, on different worlds.

In 'Treta Yuga' (the Age of Knowledge), they came closer, sharing our Earth but in different lands. The epic 'Ramayana' took place in this age, where King Rama of Ayodhya defeated the Asura King Ravana of Lanka.

'Dvapara Yuga' (the Age of Sacrifice) brought them under one roof, like uneasy family members. The epic 'Mahabharata' unfolded here, where cousins (representing good and evil) fought an 18-day war.

Now, we find ourselves in 'Kali Yuga' (the Age of Conflict or Darkness). Here, the battleground has shifted dramatically:

Good and evil no longer inhabit separate worlds, lands, or even families. They reside within each of us, locked in a constant struggle for dominance.

In this age, our greatest challenge—and our greatest opportunity—lies within. Every decision we make, every action we take, tips the balance. We are not merely observers of the cosmic dance, but active participants, shaping our inner world with each choice.

This is why our decisions carry more weight than ever before. In the Age of Conflict, we hold the power to be our greatest allies or our most formidable opponents. The question is: which force will you choose to empower within yourself?
