Hi, I’m Suchayan.
I’m a technology enthusiast, writer, and coach based in Toronto, Canada. By day, I work at a leading technology company, bringing together product thinking, engineering leadership, and a deep curiosity about how technology reshapes the way we live and work.
But this site isn’t about my day job. It’s about the ideas I keep coming back to, at the intersection of technology, leadership, storytelling, and what it means to be human in an increasingly automated world.
What I Write About
I’ve been writing publicly since 2008. Essays, articles, and stories. My writing falls into a few recurring threads:
- Technology & the Startup Ecosystem: I track digital transformation, the rise of AI, and the explosion of startups across emerging markets. I write about what’s working, what’s not, and where the opportunities are.
- Leadership & Product Thinking: From “The People Pentagon at Work” to “The PI of Product Making,” I explore how teams function, how leaders emerge, and why building great products is harder than it looks.
- The Human Advantage: My recent series explores why human skills like fear, intuition, trust, and vulnerability are becoming more important, not less, as AI advances.
- Tech Interviews & Career Preparation: Lessons from conducting hundreds of interviews and working at companies like Google and Amazon, along with years of consulting experience at L&T, Infosys, Cognizant, and TCS. Frameworks, insider perspectives, and practical advice for landing roles at top technology companies.
- Stories & Reflections: Some of my most personal writing. Narratives about career pivots, parenting, growing up, and the quiet moments that shape who we become.
What Drives Me
I believe that the best technology serves people, not the other way around. I believe that leadership is a practice, not a title. And I believe that storytelling is the most underrated skill in business.
Whether I’m writing about digital transformation, coaching a new manager, or reflecting on a conversation with my daughter, the thread is the same: how do we stay thoughtful, creative, and human in a world that’s moving fast?
Beyond the Screen
When I’m not writing or working, you’ll find me exploring ideas across domains: philosophy, psychology, design, cricket, and whatever rabbit hole the week takes me down. I’m a lifelong learner who believes the most interesting insights come from connecting dots across fields.
Let’s Connect
I’m always open to conversations with curious people, whether you want to talk about technology strategy, leadership challenges, the startup ecosystem, or just exchange ideas.
